Apple Flavored Wafers

My horses love these. They are easy to store in the barn or where you keep the horse feed. Since fresh apples and carrots require refrigeration, these are more convenient and have a longer shelf life. They are small enough to give several at a time, which makes my horses think they are getting lots of treats, even if they are individually small.

Pros: easy to store

Cons: fresh apples are probably better

These treats contain vitamins B-12, E, A, D3 plus some more. They are made up of sunflower meal, whey, ground corn, alfalfa meal, molasses, linseed meal, oatmeal and hominy. A 25-lb bag is under $20, so they are quite reasonably priced, as well.
