I'm an RN so I know how to give injections so it's not real hard for me to inject 1cc in between the shoulder blades if my dog is having a bacterial problem. Usually I can call my vet for advice and if he thinks it's warranted I will give the shot and get my dog in the next day.

Pros: If you can't get into the vet until the next day

Cons: Must be injected properly

This is a good penicillin purchased at a farm store like TSC. I use it when I need something now and can not reach my vet. Give it in the muscle!

I always keep a bottle in my frig for those bad cuts and kicks that horses get. The cost is reasonable and the results are usually good if I use it for several consecutive days

Cons: have to use as a shot intermuscular

this is a lot stronger than agri cilin can cause shock if it get directly into the bloodyou must be a lot more careful
