Gel format makes a great product even better

posted 5 years ago

We use this on our horse (Hunter) after a good workout, especially when she jumps a lot. The gel format makes it easier to apply and we find it convenient to use at shows.

As mentioned under the cons the fumes can be annoying. Once you get it on your hands it's very hard to wash it all off and you DON'T want to rub your eyes if there's any trace of it on your hands!

Like the liquid version it does a great job cooling down and tightening the legs.

Pros: Great for post exercise application

Cons: Produces fumes that burn your eyes & it takes forever to wash it off of your hands

Great to keep soreness away

posted 5 years ago

Everyone always knows when you use Absorbine that it has a smell, but it is worth the odor. I like using the gel after a work out on a horse that is out of shape or has not had saddle on for a time. It helps keep the soreness out. I also use it on small bug bites, it soaks in the muscle and helps the irritation. Just the best and one of the brands that you can trust.

Pros: great topical

Cons: smell

Old Tricks STILL work!

posted 5 years ago

I grew up with my Dad using Absorbine Liniment on his race horses. And old remedy worth using.

Although the smell may bother some; this actually always takes me back to my childhood. It reminds me of my times at the barn with my Dad. Nothing wrong with that!!!!

Pros: It does help my horse with his joints & down the legs after a workout.

Cons: The lingering smell on your hands.....
