the all metal ones last longer - these are great for in house use on boots and shoes.

We had some hoof picks like this at the camp I worked at. They were bought before I started working there and were still being used 20 years later when I stopped working there. Good hoof picks. Can't say this is the same company but is the same style and materials so I expect this would be a real good pick.

Much better handle, especially if your hands are artheretic, and you have a hard time holding a "normal" hoof pick. When there is hard packed mud, or stubborn rocks, stuck in your horse's foot, you need some extra "power" to get it out - that's what this hoof pick provides. If I could only find them, this is the only one I would use. Guess next time I find them, I'll buy a bunch!! :)
