I really like this wormer because it does your standard strongyles and tapeworm (tapeworm infection has been linking with certain types of colic). It only kills the worms present at time of dosing though it doesn't have much long term effect. However, unless parasite burden on your pastures are really high you shouldn't need to worm more than every 3-6 months and you can always do faecal tests to see how heavy the worm burden is in your horses. You actually want a low level of infection to stimulate your horses immunity to them and you don't want to overuse wormers or you'll select for resistant worms which are a real problem once you have them.

Good choice for most worming needs. However, does not kill encysted strongyles like Quest Gel (Moxidectin) does. But Moxidectin doesn't kill the tapeworms. So it depends on what you need to treat for. Or you may want to alternate between these types of products. For most common parasites, a top notch product.

This is a good wormer to use in the fall after a killing frost. It is good to get rid of bots. It works pretty well as a rotational wormer

I think overall this is a really good dewormer. I use it a couple times a year for tapeworms. The rest of the time I just use an ivermectin dewormer.
