We have these brackets in our barn to feed our horses when the weather sends them inside. Zip has a box to eat from, but Chance has a bucket, and they have places for buckets of water. We put the brackets in, which helps us keep the bucket where it is supposed to be, and is safe for horses. They can't hurt their eyes on the bracket, since it is well made with no points or sharp edges. This is important since their heads are inside the buckets, meaning their eyes are right there at the place the brackets hit.

I have 3 horses and put up three of these brackets for each bucket. They work great, except if you have a horse who tries to toss the bucket around a bit, the aluminum eventually wears through and it is no good anymore.
