This book of almost 1500 pages gives quick diagnostics of symptoms and medical conditions which while not in layman's terms are not difficult to understand if one has some smattering of medical knowledge. It is well laid out and easy to navigate. I refer to this book quite a lot and highly recommend it.

Pros: Well laid out, easy to use and understand while providing medical information that is easy to access when needed quickly.

Cons: A little expensive (almost $100) but an older edition can be bought secondhand.

This book is a good reference guide, but cannot be used in place of a veterinarian's expertise. It is not a complete veterinary textbook, and is only meant as a general reference guide.
