Can be used in large tanks too

Some work better than others depending, I think, on your water, the substrate the plant is in, the filtration system and, of course, the variety of plants you're growing and if they need to bloom or not. It can be trial and error to find the one that works for your tank- and you may have to change the food depending on the time of year.
