A great tool to make water safe for fish

posted 6 years ago

I have used this product when I have kept fish in the past. I would not try to start a tank or do a major water change without it. Tap water in most places is very unsafe for fish and must be de-chlorinated at the least. This is easy to use and is a great way to get the whole process off on the right foot. A big tip when starting a tank is to not hurry when adding fish. Add the water, then the Start Right or similar product. Ideally a tank should run for at least two weeks before adding fish. A great way to ensure it gets a good dose of beneficial bacteria is to add water from an established tank. If you have a friend or a local pet store with healthy tank, ask to take a bag full of water. Before adding the fish, make sure the PH levels are stable and appropriate for your fish. Initially they fluctuate a lot when the system is getting started. Doing all this before adding fish does not prevent all the problems of a new tank, but it can really cut down on the stress for the fish.

Pros: really gives a much better way to start a new tank, or for adding water

Cons: none

Good for your fish!

posted 6 years ago

I'm a huge fan of another brand, but I thought I'd give the Start Right liquid a try, and it worked just fine. Not only does it remove chlorine from the tank water, it also promotes a healthy slime coating on your fish.

Pros: Good for your fish!

Cons: Non found.

Safe water!

posted 6 years ago

I have had a couple fish tanks for quite a few years.
I have always used Start Right.
I have never had any problems,
I feel at ease each time I do water changes and use the Start right.
My fish's survival depend on this product each time the water is changed.
It starts working as soon as you put it in.
Its a complete water conditioner.
Not only does it remove chlorine and chloramine but it also neutralizes harmful metals.
Its also reduces stress and stimulates slime coat.
Great product!

Pros: safe, dependable

Cons: none
