Water quality is the key to a healthy pond. And, a healthy pond is a beautiful pond. But even crystal clear water may contain chemicals that can harm fish and plants, destroying its beauty. Whether your pond is new or established, regular water testing can help you identify water quality problems which could be harmful to your fish and plants. By testing for nitrate, nitrite, hardness, alkalinity and pH levels, potentially harmful conditions can be detected and corrected before there is any damage. Quick Dip Pond Test Kit tests your pond water for nitrate, nitrite, hardness, alkalinity and pH with a five-in-one test strip. It's designed from the same technology used in medical and science laboratories, giving you fast and accurate results. The strips are nontoxic and simple to use. Just dip and read results in seconds. Testing and taking care of your pond water has never been easier. InstructionsRemove one test strip from bottle and replace cap tightly. Hold strip at end with no pads. Dip all pads completely in the water for one second and remove. Do not shake excess water from strip. Hold strip level for 30 seconds. Compare alkalinity, hardness, pH and nitrite to the attached corresponding color chart to determine readings and water treatment recommendations. At 60 seconds compare nitrate pad to color chart: Nitrate - furthest pad from hand; nitrite - fourth pad from hand; hardness - third pad from hand; alkalinity - second pad from hand; pH - first pad from hand.
