Bubble Wall

This looked great on the back wall of the 40 gal oscar tank. 2 provided good aeration, along with the flow from the filter. Very good for fish who like to pick at and move aquarium items - this stayed stable and firmly attached.

I tried a bubble wall once in my 55 gallon. It seemed like a great idea beforehand, but I didn't realize that getting the three stone cylinders to give off the same visual effect would be such a challenge. The end closer to the air pump would give off more bubbles...and larger bubbles, and the pressure only decreased with distance from the pump. I tried more powerful pumps with the same problem. I even tried going at it from both ends with two identical pumps, but getting visual uniformity in the bubbles was nearly impossible. I got it even one time, but it only lasted a day or so before the wall looked uneven again.

Maybe my package was faulty, but I figured a general warning couldn't hurt.

Pros: attractive if the cons don't get ya

Cons: bubble distribution tough to get even
