This was by far my most accurate thermometer. The color indicators made it fast and easy to make sure the heater was keeping the tank in the right temperature range. But then during a water change, when I went to remove the thermometer from the tank, it tapped the side of the aquarium. Just a very faint, light tap. So light, I didn't even hear a sound. But the bottom broke right off and the little metal balls fell out into the aquarium, along with several glass shards. It was a good thing I had already moved my fish out of the tank to clean it...

These seem to be one of the easier ones I like.You can attach it any where you want to,and because of the suction cups holding it in place,it makes it very convenient to read.I like the fact that I don't have to fish it out to read it. Seems to pretty accurate on actual temps.

You don't want to cook your fish, at least not your aquarium fish. If you use a heater, you MUST use a thermometer to monitor water temperatures. I used this one when I had tropicals, and found it to be reliable.

Every fish tank needs a thermometer to keep things stable & this handy thermometer is great. Easy to read, suction cup to attach, accurate. Couldn't ask for anything better.

I have several of these - keep one in my fish aquarium and have another one I use for the aquarium without water when I have baby birds. Really handy.
