Maracyn Tablets

I keep this on hand.Just in case .works great.I used with my oscar.time to time he would get ick cause he ate live fish.

I used to occasionally lose fish (tropical freshwater) due to fungal infections whenever I added new fish into the tank. The fungus most probably was brought in by the new fish, even though it was not always necessarily the new fish that developed syptoms and died. Maracyn was so-so in treating the disease after the fact. Once the fungus was visible on the body of the fish, it was usually a crap shoot as to whether the fish would survive. However, after I started putting any new fish I acquired in quarantine with Maracyn for 1 week (regardless of whether they had any symptoms of fungal infections or not), I never had any more problems with this type of infection.

Pros: It works well with fungal infections

Cons: You have to treat the infection in the early stages
