Tetra Koi Pond Thermometer

Monitoring your water temp allows you to feed your fish the proper amount of food. This color coded thermometer tells you how many times a day you should be feeding based on the water temp. Nice little accessory to have.

Pros: Allows you to monitor water temp

Cons: doesn't last long

A pond thermometer is good in theory but really not too necessary if you just monitor the activity of your fish. Common sense tells you when the air temp cools and the fish are less active, feed less often and less food. The mercury in this jammed up after a few seasons and I only replaced it because I got a free one with a purchase of food.

Cons: get coated with algae, hard to read
