Sundial Floating Island Planter

I had 2 of these in my outdoor pond. They are easy to set-up, and therefore easy to use. Not prone to being tipped over, or sinking in any way. When I was using them, I really liked them.

Unfortunately, they do not stand up to being chewed on by the neighbor dog! I'm actually thinking about replacing them, now that the dog is not over by our pond as much!

I bought three of these in the early spring. They were easy enough to plant and just drop in the pond. After fooling around with several plants, I finally came up with a grouping that worked. I've had lots of compliments on my floating gardens and the koi, in particular, like to hide under them.

Pros: Great way to add color to the pond, helps hide fish

Cons: Without an anchor they pile up together
