I've used the Pimafix and Melafix seperately and together and have yet to save any fish. It seems to affect live plants too, adversely. Aside from having to remove your charcoal filter for the duration of treatment and add the medicine daily, you also have to do more frequent water changes. I just found it all such a hassle. Quarantine is a nice idea but I don't have space to set up a tank that's only used once in a while.

Pros: Doesn't color the water.

Cons: High maintenance and not effective in my case.

We treat with a combo pima fix and melafix if any seems to be acting funny. These products are natural and safe and keep any diseases away. We always have these two products on hand and treat our quarantine tank right away. I can't enough about these products.

Pros: Works great in combo with Mela Fix

Saved only the last few fish to catch the fungus, everyone else died or were severely scarred.

Pros: It helped with slight cases

Cons: Doesn't work if you wait too long

I treated a 55gl FOWL with one sick fish, I ended up killing 3 other fish that were just fine. Now I quarantine always!!!

Pros: smells good

Cons: killed fish
