Kent Marine Concentrated Iodine Supplement

Provides bio-available iodine to reef inhabitants for better fish and algae growth, particularly benefits soft corals. Although present in salt mixes, iodine is rapidly used up in the system, and removed by protein skimming and ozone. Algae also use iodine. Concentrated Iodine Supplement replaces iodine needed for proper growth and health of invertebrates and algae. Contains a safe, stabilized form of iodine which will not destroy system bacteria. Recommended if you use protein skimmers, ozone, or have strong algae growth.

Good product when used correctly

As with any product - always make sure you test the water before adding iodine.

Indiscrimant use of iodine can lead to toxicity.

This is a good product when used correctly.

Pros: good source of iodine

Cons: can be hazardous when used incorrectly

I use this product mainly for my candy coral. I've had it for over a year now and it is growing and healthy.

Pros: needed for some corals

Cons: not needed by all corals
