It is cheap for a reason. I bought this heater thinking I was saving money. The first one I bought didn't even work. The second one I bought worked, but there is no real way to see how to place it at a certain temp, as there is no real temp gauge...pretty much guess work...I nearly cooked my fish the first night. Won't EVER buy this one again.

my whisper heater does a great job. i've never had any trouble with it. it keeps the just right.
