My betta came down with pop-eye and I thought he was a goner. My mom rushed to the store and purchased Maracyn. We put my fish in his own small tank and treated the water with the medicine. Our tank was smaller than the size needed for the packet so we just added a little bit of the medicine. It took about two weeks for the pop-eye to clear up. That was about 1 year ago and Flame is doing wonderful. I would recommend this to anyone with a betta with pop-eye. It worked great for us!

Cons: Packets are designed for bigger tanks

I went to a pet store that specialized in fish. I told them about the trouble I was having with my fish and they recommended Maracyn. I purchased the tablets and took it home to treat my fish. Sadly, it didn't help. It's possible it prolonged the life maybe a day or two.

Cons: Fish died any way
