I tried this formula a few years ago with several different species of triggerfishes--Striped Papaco (Balistipus undulatus), Clown Trigger (Balistoides conspicullum), Queen Trigger (Balistes vetula), Picasso Trigger (Rhinecanthus aculeatus)--and they all just loved this formula.
The ingredients in Trigger Formula are exactly what my triggers would be eating out in the wild--silverside minnows, shrimp, sea urchins,--to name a few of the ingredients. This formula is also rich in the vitamins, minerals, and amino acids that triggers need to do well.
I have used this formula to restore health to malnourished triggers that I have gotten through rescues, and have had excellent results.
It's fun to watch my triggers eat this, as they go crazy for this food and eat every bite of it--no waste, which is a big plus for me.
If you have a trigger, you definitely need to at least try Trigger Formula. It's probably the best food out there on the market for captive triggerfishes since it so closely follows what is in their natural diet.
Pros: Convenient cubes, frozen, eagerly devoured by triggers
Cons: Help...I can't find this in Bowling Green, KY!
