Hagen Fluval Fx5 External Canister Filter

I dont have this particular model but do have the larger version for my 150g tank. It is awesome. I got mine used 7 years ago and its still going strong. It contains a long water exhaust perforated bar that runs across the back of the tank so water is dispursed in steady small streams along the back wall. The intake pipe is caged and situated near the bottom of the tank where most debrie accumulates. The filtering system contains a large washable sponge, a bag of carbonated charcoal and a bag of plastic pieces that accumulate the waste. Simply wash the bags with a bit of friction and put back in. No constant replacement of filters! Highly recommend this kind and make
