Hagen Aquaclear Filter

I've been keeping fish all of my life,and Aquaclear filters were always my first choice.They're dependable,long lasting and maintain your tank great.The filtration strength on the bigger filters are awesome if you keep the bigger tanks and fish.
Two downfalls of Aquaclear would be 1) They will back up and drip if you don't clean the filters on occasion.
This is preventable 100% if you maintain the filter like you should.
The second con is that recently Hagen,Aquaclear(who has always gave you a great filter for a decent price)
raised all the prices of their filters big time.
That was a problem for me as cost is real important.
My advice is that if money isn't a problem,then go for it as they last for years.

Pros: Cleans the tank fantastic!

Cons: Prices of the filters raised up drastically.

I like these systems, which we use in our large reef tank. Having the filter components sold individually allows us to change the sponge, carbon and additional ammonia neutralizer pieces as needed.

Pros: keeps tank clean
