The zeolite in this product will leach ammonia back into the tank if allowed to become saturated. This is a great product to remove discoloration in the water and remove tannins from new driftwood but shouldn't be used all the time.
Pros: makes water crystal clear quickly - removes tannins from driftwood
Cons: can leach ammonia back into water once saturated
