Good for small tanks

Good particularly for small tanks, these air diffusers keep bubbles in the tank and the oxygen level high. Larger tanks can accomplish this through the pumping system but smaller tanks often can use the extra little help.
Pros: Helps maintain a healthy tank

Best of the worst

penn plex makes the best of the cheapy cheap airstones. Not as good as ceramic or wood, but lasts long enough to be worth the 50cents you pay for them.
Pros: lasts longer than similar priced brands
Cons: still clogs quickly
