Interesting...

posted 6 years ago

I bought these just out of curiosity the other day when the pet store didn't have my turtles favorite canned shrimp. I figured since they are always eating the fish food they might enjoy 'shrimp puffs.' When I opened the bottle I was a little suprised to see that they look like cheetos cheese puffs. :) They were too big for my turtles to get in their mouth so I broke them up and found out that if I wasn't careful I could crush the shrimp puffs into shrimp powder. If I had bigger fish in my tank I would try the puffs with them, but for now I will continue to give them to the turtles every now and then.

Pros: A different food

Cons: Could cloud water if not eaten

Tasty treat

posted 6 years ago

My top-feeding fish love these Shrimp Puffs. I like to give them as a supplement along with some other live or dried meat-based food several times a week. Angelfish, cichlids, and tetras all enjoy these Puffs when I place them in the tank; there is never any waste left over.

Pros: No strong smell, floats

Cons: none

Cheetos for Fish!

posted 6 years ago

These snack foods look like little Cheetos for fish. My fish pretty much ignore them until they start dissolving. If I use them more than twice per week, my water starts looking cloudy. I will look for a different treat for my little guys once this container is gone. They are ok - but not as terrific as the packaging claims.

Pros: Provides variety

Cons: They look strange in the water!
