Tropical Slow Release Feeder

posted 5 years ago

This is a gel feeder block for tropical freshwater fish. Comes in a 2 pack. One gel block feeds several fish for up to five days. The package states you can leave it in the water when you return and resume regular feedings. I found the water to be murky and it remained somewhat hazy for about a full week afterwards. The buildup on the filter was more than normal use. Not sure if this is a repeat weekend feeder. It was easy to use, but the water quality afterwards was discouraging.

Pros: feeds for the weekend

Cons: murky water afterwards
