Tetra Water wonders 3 gallon cube

posted 6 years ago

I,as a breeder of Bettas,am always looking for a suitable way of separating the sparring males i'm planning to keep.Usually,I divide ten gallon aquariums, which is good, but not the best.
While shopping at Wal Mart the other day,I came across the Water Wonders 3 gallon kit by Tetra.Price range was $29.95 plus tax of course.
Made out of clear acrylic and square in shape, its a nice change from the normal rectangular aquariums i'm used to.It comes with a nice powerful filter, the Wisper micro filter, which can have the flow turned down,a plus for bettas.(bettas HATE strong currents). There's room for a heater, and has a built in light with interchangeable reflectors of blue and red,for a change of view.Theres also a little drawer in the front to store some accessories, like food and water conditioner.(of which a sample of each is also included).
The biggest drawback,is the base doesn't separate from the tank, making it kinda difficult to clean, and the built in light is a halogen bulb, which produces some heat, though not enough to be too concerned over.
Overall, its a great little tank for a single fish(single, because most schooling fishes needs upwards of ten gallons or more.),for a good price.I highly recommend this kit to those purchasing a betta, instead of the little so called betta homes.

Thanks for reading my first review!

Pros: great size and looks good too!

Cons: halogen lights are too hot, does not seperate from base

Nice tank

posted 5 years ago

This is a nice size to start your fish adventure in. It's easy to use and if you decide that having fish as a pet is not for you then you didn't waste a lot of money.

Pros: Eaqsy to set up

Cons: none
