Better than pre-made filters.

I prefer buying filter material and activated carbon separtately. Most pre-made filters skimp on the activated carbon. Plus, you can reuse the filter material and simply replace the carbon. Less landfill.
This product works well. No complaints. The dust is unnavoidable. Not a problem. Just fill the cartridge over the sink and rinse the filter until the carbon dust is gone. Same as a tap water filter.
Pros: Less expensive, environmentally friendly.
Cons: A little dust.
