A great product.

posted 6 years ago

I have found it is very important to keep your dog (or any pet) drinking a lot of water. It keeps their kidneys healthy, reduces skin problems, and during the summer is the key to preventing things like heat stroke and heat exhaustion, especially in a long breed coat like my dog has.

Traditional water bowls are adequate, but wouldn't you rather go above and beyond adequate? Dogs and most animals prefer running water. It's an instinct carried over from the wild where animals tried to consume running water because of the much smaller risk of dangerous micro-organism consumption that occured when drinking stagnant water.

Think about it ... would you want to drink from a room temperature bowl of water that had been sitting there for days? Probably not. That's where this product comes in ... the water is constantly oxygenated by bubbles, keeping the bacteria down and the water tasting better. Plus, it encourages your dog to drink more ... I can attest to that.

Pros: Keeps water aerated and fresh.

Cons: None.

Love it

posted 6 years ago

I never saw a dog dig in the water bowl until I took mine to puppy classes. Now she digs in her water bowl so she is not allowed water in the house. I think the cats miss the fountain but have adjusted.

Pros: bit easier to clean than other fountains

Cons: not good for "water diggers"

Bubbler more of a toy?

posted 6 years ago

Just got this product and it seems to work better as a toy. The water moves so fast that it's fascinating to the cats, but they haven't been drinking from it much.

The motor is rather loud; had to be sure to put it on the carpet, not the plastic mat I have the rest of the Bubbler and the food on.

Pros: really moves water around

Cons: cats want to play with it

This product is great for dogs and cats that love moving water to drink from. It's clean and fresh and your pets drink more water and therefore stay healthier.
