Fish oil was highly recommended for the winter itchiness of my dog's skin. My dog hated the capsules. After trying to hide it in cheese, peanut butter, butter, liver sausage, and commercial treats, I finally gave up. After getting only a couple successful doses, my dog would not take any pills. It took over a month of coaxing before she would take any pills, but still won't take a pill if it isn't completely surrounded by liver sausage. After reading the other reviews here, I must have purchased the wrong kind of fish oil.

Pros: good for itchiness

Cons: bad odor

I recommend this to any dog owner who's dog suffers from dry, flakey skin.

Pros: Clears up dry skin, makes hair softer

Cons: makes dogs pass gas, smells odorous
