I actually got Jack's mom to start buying these

posted 4 years ago

Jack, the JRT down the road was always a little hard to warm up to people.

When I knew Gail first got him, I picked up a package of these... Jack loved me from the moment he saw me.

I held my hand down to him and he came right over and smelled. He was a little slow about it but after I spoke softly to him, he took the jerky and literally wolfed it down. After that, he kept coming over to me and didn't even want to go home! lol

Gail was so amazed at his reaction to me and the fact that he wanted to stay with me that she asked what kind of treats they were. I came in the house and got the box. She has purchased them for him ever since!

Pros: healthy, real beef

Cons: A little more costly

Eagerly Eaten

posted 5 years ago

I mention the smell because anytime you open the bag you get a strong 'beef jerky' smell; if you don't like beef jerky, I'd stay away. But for a dog - that smell is like heaven, which is why I keep these treats around. Riley eagerly does tricks, etc., to earn one of these yummies. The one drawback is the packaging - it has a zip-loc* seal but on my bag, the seal separated from the side of the bag, rendering it useless for sealing in freshness.

Pros: Strong Smell, Bite-Size Portions, Ingredients

Cons: Strong Smell, Bag's Seal Can Bust

Great for Training

posted 5 years ago

I believe Wellness makes a good quality product so I was very happy when I found these treats. There are very few ingredients in them and they can be broken up and pocketed with very little mess. I usually cut them with a scissor before I go to class. The dogs are very happy to work for them.

Pros: The dogs love it

Cons: none

Great for training

Wellness makes good quality products and this is one of them. They come in small squares but can easily be broken into smaller tidbits for training treats for small dogs that you don't want to overfeed while training.

Pros: bite size, dogs love them

Cons: a bit pricey
