Meaties Liver Flavor treats mix appealing taste with natural goodness.

November 13, 2010 5:27 pm | By Zootoo Editor Flinn D.

Meaties, liver flavor natural dog treats from Old Mother Hubbard, are bite-size dog treats that are made with natural ingredients. Their texture is tough and hard and will stimulate your dogs’ gums while satisfying their natural instinct to chew. The crunchy chews fit easily into your pocket and therefore make excellent training treats.

Dogs love their tough, chewy exterior and the explosion of savory flavor when they manage to break them down. Old Mother Hubbard has been using the most delicious, all-natural ingredients in their treats for years and Meaties Liver Flavor is no exception. Up at the top of the ingredient list are whole wheat flour, chicken liver and oatmeal. The only preservative in view for miles is a naturally occurring one and there is simply no sign of commonly used fillers such as corn starch or meal.

So do the natural ingredients add up to a whopper of a training treat? You bet they do. The second most important thing to healthy ingredients in a training treat is that a dog craves the taste. Otherwise, why will he sit, run, roll over or jump through a hoop for one?

With Mother Hubbard’s Liver Flavor treats, you will have no trouble getting your dog to do whatever you are trying to get him to do. My dog loves them more than any other treat in my arsenal of treats and I can easily coax him off the couch or out the door with one. Another nice feature of Meaties Liver flavor is their compact size, so that you can reward your pooch almost endlessly with no fear of spoiling his lunch or dinner.

Pros: Top quality ingredients; perfect size for training; dogs will love the taste.

Cons: None.

A Good Change of Pace

posted 5 years ago

This is a good alternative for the regular treats we give our dogs. I like to give them variety in their diet and this is a treat that they like and the do not have many of the addatives that other treats have.

Pros: Tasty and a good snack size for smaller dogs.

Cons: None I know of.
