Too Big!

posted 6 years ago

I got a sample one of these when I bought an extra Kong for my dog, and I will never buy them again. My dog is very good at getting treats out of Kongs, but when she finally gave up with the liver snap, I tried to help her out. I ended up having to use a knife to break it in half inside the Kong before being able to get it out! Sure, maybe I should have broken it before, but I figured the size was maybe calculated to be hard but not too hard to get out. So much for that.

I wouldn't use these as a training treat, either. I much prefer small, soft treats to biscuits, but if I use biscuits, I'll use the cheap stuff and break it up myself. My dog mostly just cares about getting the treat, not how much it cost, and I care about it being small enough that she wants more right away. I love the Kong company, but they didn't impress me with these treats.

Pros: good taste

Cons: too big for Kongs, biscuit-type snack

Taste Tested and Approved

posted 6 years ago

We picked up the Kong Stuff n' to see if the dogs like them. If they did, we would use them in their Kong biscuit ball. The taste test was approved by all three of our dogs.

So the next time they get a biscuit ball, there will be a few of the Kong Stuff n's in there.

Pros: tasty, natural, loved by our dogs

Cons: price

Great stuffins'

posted 6 years ago

Some friends of mine had a box of these Kong inserts. I'd not realy paid much attention to them before but I took a gander at them. They were larger than I thought and would most likely last longer than the biscuits I am using now. I got a couple to take home and I was amazingly suprised. The treat inserted took about 30 minutes, forever in beagle pup time, to extract! I bought a box while at the store today. I will definitely add this to my options for Kong stuffins' for my crew. These will be great for those rainy spring days haning around the house. A bit more pricey but will be worth it in 'entertainment' value.

Pros: Shape makes them difficult to get at easily

Cons: Price

Good idea

posted 6 years ago

My friend usually puts peanut butter or dog bones in his kong for his dog, but these are a good thing to have to put in for a nice meaty treat.

Pros: Good

Cons: None
