Kurgo Wander Pack Adjustable Dog Saddlebag
(5 out of 5)
The Kurgo Wander Pack gives your dog a low-stress job during hiking and camping.

The Kurgo Wander Pack Adjustable Dog Saddlebag accomplishes two important goals during outdoor walks or hikes with your pooch: taking some of the load off your own pack, and keeping him motivated with an easy job to do.
As dog saddlebags and backpacks go, the Kurgo Wander Pack is especially lightweight. Other similar bags have the problem of being too heavy or cumbersome for even those dogs over 50 lbs., and can’t be used at all for dogs under a high weight limit. The Kurgo is indicated for use for dogs above 30 lbs., and the nimble, light construction supports this.
The back and side pieces are padded to provide support and comfort, and although our tester dog was unsure of the intentions of the saddlebags at first, once we headed into the great outdoors, he didn’t seem to mind the bag’s presence. And the bag didn’t cause chafing.
The Kurgo Wander Pack also has other functional, thoughtful design touches. The strips are reflective in case your outdoor excursions last beyond sundown, and the bag is water resistant – a definite plus if you’re hiking over different terrains (or if your dog is the type to run into fountains or sprinklers at the park).
The Kurgo’s saddlebags are also well-constructed and roomy, although how much you want to store in the bags may depend on your dog’s level of fitness and comfort.
Bottom line: the Kurgo Wander Pack is an excellent, easy-to-use option for giving your dog a low-stress job and for lightening your own camping load.
Pros: Comfortable and lightweight; well-constructed and roomy.
Cons: Dogs may need a little while to adjust to the saddlebags.
