Must be sure to use it for emergencies only. I used it because Max was digging under the fence and I was affraid that he would get hurt. Actually the sound was enough after one little shock.
Pros: It works
Cons: can be cruel

i have this same unit for my dogs. my dogs are not pointers, brock occationally will point. i got this collar because of the beep tones. i do not have to shock my dogs, i hit the beep and they respond perfectly. i like to use the tone first and if needed use the shock. the tone has been enough for my dogs.
