GREAT PRODUCT.

We found that our small poodle/pomeranian's bark wasn't loud enough or sustained to "automatically" set this ultrasonic box off - But it has a button on the top that you can use to manually make it emit the ultrasonic noise. Our dog absolutely can not stand the noise it makes... it only took a time or two, and really, we don't even need to keep a battery in it anymore - if he starts acting up and barking in the house, all we do is show him the box... or remind him that it's in the room. He knows what it does, and is an instant quiet pup.

Beware though if you do have the battery in the unit and just have it sitting around the house. It is easy to set it off with other noises in the house, (vacuum cleaner, for example) so be careful with it so you keep a clear message to the dog that it's their barking that sets it off.

For inside training I really like this box - I definietely prefer the ultrasonic noise response to a "shock" response like i've seen in some other systems. Also - it doesn't require any bulky collar on our little guy... (he already has one transponder for his invisible fence - so another would just be way too much for him)

I bought this trying to keep my dog from barking when I was not home. When I came home one day and she was barking, I started to play with it and was very disappointed to find I couldn't even trigger the thing by 'barking' into it. Totally not sensitive enough to pick up dogs barking from several feet away. Returned it quickly.

Pros: more humane than static correction

Cons: couldn't get it to reliably trigger
