We had a Corgi/Sheltie who was a barker. We tried *everything* and then we tried this product. When we weren't home, she apparently barked up a storm and ended up with SORES on her neck from the "harmless" shocks. She kept barking in spite of the pain. In other words, the dog is in control--not you. Bad idea.

Hard to believe that people still buy these things. I recommend putting one around your neck tightly and setting it to the lowest voltage to see what it feels like before you consider putting it on a dog. There are much more humane and kind ways to train your dog not to bark. (Love the way the advertiser tries to make it sound like a humane alternative to having your dog's voicebox removed. You're killing me with your kindness.)
