I have hauled goats, turkeys, ducks, geese and dogs in this crate. I have used it to crate train large dogs and now I am using it to relocate feral cats. It has been in the rain and only has a little rust on the metal pan.

It has a top fold up lid and a side swing out door which needs wd-40 every once in awhile for the door to slip up and down to lock shut. The top door has 3 turn locks and the side door one lock. The metal pan is awesome as it pulls out from the bottom for easy cleaning. It's perfect for feral cat us as the litter from the litter box says in the metal pan and not all over my house.

A wonderful product well worth the money I invested in it for all the different uses it has provided me.

We have a gold general collapsible that is really OLD! But it's as strong as day one and I've put a LOT of dogs in and fostered some kittens in there as well. It may not look as good as it did new but it's as strong as the day we got it and now it's our travel crate--always folded and ready to go. The newer ones are certainly lighter but don't last as long as this one.

This is the crate that was recommended to me when I got my puppy. The crate has a latch that is very difficult for a puppy or dog to unlock. I have tibetan Terriers and I was told that these dogs use their paws as hands an have opened many crates and gates. My dogs have never opened this crate.
I also love that it folds down and we can take it with us when we travel.
