Great for Weaning puppies
posted 6 years ago
When we have bottle fed foster puppies we use this to start transitioning them into solid food. We generally mix it with formula and water and create a cereal. We also mix it in with a small amount of dry and wet food. It helps them to develop the insticnt to eat the solid food without causing them to have an upset stomach. It should be used around 5-6 weeks when their teeth are developed and they are ready for the transition. If you have weak, sick, or malnourished puppies you may need to use formula for longer. It provides a good source of nutrition for the growing puppies.
Pros: Prepares puppies for solid food

Very Good Way to Graduate to Solid Food
posted 5 years ago
We graduate to the weaning formula and then slowly add solid kitten food to the mixture behore we transition totally to solid food. We have found that there is not interuption in the puppies eating habits with this system. Healthy happy puppies are the result.
Pros: Maintains continuity in diet during weaning transition.
Cons: No Cons
