Tennis balls are one of the cheapest forms of entertainment if you have a dog that likes to retrieve. Provides great exercise if you have a large fenced yard, long lead, safe dog park or a dog that is 100% reliable off lead. Make sure you get the balls that are pet friendly and have no harmful chemicals.
Pros: Cheap fun
Cons: Gooey

My dogs LOVE tennis balls! They're a great, inexpensive toy that is small enough to stick in my pocket or purse when we go out. They're great for fetch and we even use them in the lake. My only con for tennis balls is the potential for my dogs to puncture the balls and ingest some of the material (they're strong chewers). For that reason, I only allow them to play with tennis balls when I am strictly supervising their play session. Great, fun toy!
Pros: Dogs LOVE them! Easy to travel with
Cons: I must watch dogs closely to be sure they don't puncture the balls
