I'm no dumbbell
posted 6 years ago
I was working with one of my pups on retrieving and wasn’t happy with some of the wooden dumb bells the trainers were using. I was working with my old terrier mix who was more interested in chewing on the wood then bringing it to me. I found these rubber dumb bells that ended her desire to chew on the wood and our training started to take off. One of her favorite games ended up being retrieving this after a good toss and running around with it before letting me have it again. I would recommend these dumb bells for anyone who wants to work on take it/drop it commands to build towards retrieving. She never did translate this to getting me my morning paper but we did have so much fun with this!
Pros: Durable, fun, great for retrieval training
