Kyjen Hardcore Firehouse Dog Toy With Squeaker

It's not one of my dogs go-to toys, but he does enjoy chewing on it. It's fairly durable and he's only ripped one corner off. He still brings this out to chew on and the squeaky still works. This stuff is the same as fire hose. So if you're a firefighter it would be cheaper just to take some old hose and make a toy out of it. This is one of his longer lasting toys, but that's also because he doesn't chew on it everyday. It's more of a winter toy for him

I purchased this toy because I was trying to find something new to keep my dog entertained. He does enjoy chewing on this toy (he won't really play fetch with it) but I noticed right away that it was not durable. I only allow my dog to play with it when we can watch him. He enjoys holding it in his paws and chewing on the ends which are not made out of the same material as the rest of the toy. As soon as he opens it up I will have to throw it out. The squeaker barely works, I don't think my dog has any idea there is even a squeaker inside. For now it will remain a special treat, which will hopefully prolong its life a bit, but I am completely unimpressed with this item (especially given the claims it makes) and will certainly not purchase it again.
