I tried this..and Bacon really liked it...but he liked it just as much as he like regular peanut butter...so I'll sitck with the original.

Kong PB spread is the best thing ever. My dog loves it so much I can get him to do anything as soon as he sees the can! It made crate training a snap. Squeeze some in the Kong toy, put it in the crate, he jumps in, close the door, he stays in there totally satisfied with his long-lasting and tasty treat!

It also helps when giving him his Frontline treatment. He used to run and hide, and even got to the point where he would pee in anxiety when he saw it approaching. Now, I sit him on the floor in the kitchen, keep squeezing out small amounts to keep him concentrating on the treat, hubby approaches from behind and delivers the medicine - no muss, no fuss! He actually looks forward to it now.

As to why to choose this spread over PB, this is easier to dispense, not as thick and messy as real PB, and is formulated specifically for dogs, with extra nutrients and vitamins designed just for them. It's also not as fatty as real PB. I have a really small dog so each can lasts me a long time, as such, I don't mind the admittedly steep price compared to real PB.

we bought one of these and it was ehh okay... the first thing by kong i wasnt super impressed with. the price for this after buying an expensive kong is just not worth it. i think it would be cool if they gave you kong paste witht he kong when you buy it.... but having to seperatley buy it, i dont think its worth it

This is a good alternative if your dog has allergies, but if not, just use regular peanut buttter (preferably low fat peanut butter with few additives).

Kongs and Kong stuffing are great! The Peanut Butter Paste is tasty ... dogs just love it! Just fill 'er up, freeze and it'll keep your dog occupied for hours. I also add in other treats and a little kibble when I fill them.
