Kong Puppy Binkie
(5 out of 5)
The KONG Puppy Binkie keeps younger dogs engaged and satisfied.

The KONG Puppy Binkie demonstrates once again that the folks at KONG know dog toys — and that dogs know the difference. Like other products in the company’s line of appealing chew toys, the Puppy Binkie is both durable and engaging.
During initial sessions with our tester puppy, the rubber surface seemed to be comfortable and satisfying for him – not surprising, as the rubber is formulated especially for teething dogs. And the shape of the binkie seemed well-suited for his miniature-sized mouth. However, it took a few tries to get him completely captivated by the Puppy Binkie in the first place. (Although what red-blooded young puppy doesn’t have a hard time focusing on one thing?!?)
Two methods of introducing the toy in playtime helped engage his interest. First, the bouncy construction of the Puppy Binkie lends itself to getting a puppy’s attention with a couple of small bounces. Second, like all KONG toys, the Binkie is designed to work with treats or with a dab of peanut butter, or KONG’s own “Puppy Paste.”
Once our tester puppy became engaged with the binkie, though, his attachment to the toy was clear. Although the directions discourage use after a puppy’s adult teeth have come in, it might be hard for him to say goodbye. And best of all, the attachment to the Puppy Binkie can help to replace a puppy’s attachment to, say, the furniture!
Bottom line: After a dab of initial encouragement (or, more specifically, a dab of tasty treat), the KONG Puppy Binkie keeps younger pooches engaged and happy.
Pros: Well-designed and durable; can be used with treats.
