The Big Mouth Triple Rings Dog Toy by JW Pet is a simple yet fun toy for your pet to chomp on. The product comes in bright colors and is made of natural rubber. The feature that makes them slightly better than other chomping toys that I’ve tested in the past is the raised rubber surface that presents interesting nubs that dogs seem to like. There is one raised section that runs about a quarter of the length of the ring and has smaller rubber teeth that our tester dog gravitated to. On the opposite side of the ring is another raised section, smaller than the first, with a longer, single nub that also grabbed his interest.

If you’ve ever tried to get your dog interested in a smooth chew toy, you know how challenging it can be. The raised rubber nubs on the surface of the JW Pet Triple Rings keep dogs chewing on them for hours. The rubber is strong enough that they can’t break the nubs off and swallow them or chew through the ring.

The only drawbacks to the JW Pet Triple Rings are their size and weight. As a chew toy, they’re perfect, but some dogs only take an interest in a chew toy after it’s been successfully thrown — something that is hard to do with these. If the ring were a little heavier and a little larger it would be easier to fling for jaded dogs — and easier to get them interested.

Pros: Surface is engaging for dogs; bright colors make the toy appealing.

Cons: Light weight and small size make combining playtime with a game of fetch difficult.
