Great Product

The dog trolley is a great idea for people who don't have fenced in yards or who have fence jumpers. Once you find the space you want to put it (I wouldn't attach it to the house with siding unless you have to) it's fairly simple to install. We use a wood post and a brick storage shed that we have. Trees work well too at our old house. I would NOT use just a dog collar to attach to the trolley. Sometimes, the dogs see something and take off running and it will literally pick them off the ground and bring them back if they have ran too far, too fast. It doesn't hurt the dogs as long as they are on a harness. As mentioned in another review, it's nice to bring the cable inside, attach the pet and then let him out. You don't have to worry about them getting loose as much, just make sure the clasp is clasped completely. They hold up in the weather also. If you don't want to buy a kit for a dog trolley you can buy the parts for it at a store like Lowe's or Menard's. Make sure you get the right strength for the weight of your dog.
Pros: Gives them room to run
Cons: None

Watch for wear

If you leave this tie-out in your yard, be prepared for it to weather and rust and eventually break. Also be VERY careful if children are around. A dog running in a wide circle can encircle a childs leg or body and do physical harm. It even happens to the dog sometimes.
Pros: Works well for a while
Cons: Outer membrane wears down
