we had this for a dog and it worked well as a dog tag, though pretty much any would. The benefit is that this one is more stylish, which worked out well for our dog. But to be honest it doesn't function any better than the cheaper, plainer ones.
Pros: Good tag that is durable
Cons: Not for masculine dogs, and a simple tag will suffice
