Proin, keeps her from goin'

posted 6 years ago

I have a couple of beagles who have weaker bladder muscles and suffer from 'dribbling' from time to time. After some discussion with my vets and web based research I decided to go with the Proin. This is a natural supplement that does not appear to have any documented side effects. Reasonably priced, you do have to purchase it through your veterinarian. My beagles take this pill straight from my hand, no cheese, no nothing! I was amazed to find that within a few days of starting, all of her 'accidents' had stopped. I've been using this consistently for about 2 years now with 2 of them and am very happy with the results. I would highly recommend trying this to resolve bladder control issues before taking more involved steps! Inexpensive and amazing results!!!!!

Pros: Natural supplement, no side effects

Cons: None

Proin worked wonders for our Daisy!

posted 6 years ago

Our Rot'n Saint, (rottweiler-St Bernard mix) Daisy, was getting older and having problems with incontinency. She was about 10 years old, weighed about 135 lbs, and we were reluctant to consider surgery at her age. We didn't have a clue that there was a pill that she could take that would solve the problem. We were amazed that this could be "fixed" without surgery! She responded immediately to Proin and our lives were changed just because of this pill, once a day...and it's not even expensive! She lived about 3 more years, and died at 13, which is almost unheard of for dogs her size!

Pros: Proin solved Daisy's problem

Cons: none

Proin worked for my dog!!!

posted 6 years ago

My girl developed incontinence last year - bad!!!! I am so glad this product is effective, and I was able to wean her down to 1/2 of a 75mg tablet once daily - so the monthy cost to treat her makes it feasible. Great effectiveness for my dog - always worth a shot in any dog that develops this condition!!!

Pros: It works and easy to give

Cons: none

Helpful for our dog in conjunction with estrogen therapy

posted 6 years ago

This product has helped out with our dog's incontinence while used in conjunction with her estrogen therapy. It didn't really work for us on its own, but I know others have had better experiences with it. Our dog does hate the taste and it's a chore to get her to chew the pill.

Pros: Works well for our dog if used in conjunction with estrogen therapy

Cons: Hasn't worked that well for us on its own. Hard to feed

My female Weim was having "leaking" problems, especially while she is sleeping. By giving her a Proin twice a day the "leaking" has stopped.

Pros: Dog takes it very easy

Cons: Somewhat expensive
