I used this for my dog with arthritis on advisement from my vet. It seemed to work as it was supposed to. It was discovered later that my dog's problem was not arthritis but a tear in the crutiate ligament. I would have tried it with my other dog but he has allergies to dairy(lactate) products, so it may have helped but would have caused other problems

My aussie was diagnosed with degenerative bone disease at the age of 4. She could barely ambulate in the morning. After one week of Duralactin, she was getting up without difficulty and running like she hadn't done since she was a puppy! She is now 9 years old and is more active/agile than my younger dogs.

Pros: Saved my Aussie. Great taste.

Cons: none

This stuff works great for my 12 year old Aussie who just had his ACL repaired. No side-effects like other NSAIDs! He takes this plus another herbal pain med for his arthritis.

Pros: Tastes great!

Cons: Difficult for K9's with allergies
