The full length of this sweater will keep the dog warm but if the dog needs to pee then it will soil the bottom part. Unless the dog stays very still and is used to getting dressed up, it will be hard to get him into this one.

Usually when my dog is having a lazy day during the winter time, I like to put this on him so he can doze off comfortably and warm. This is a great sweater, but it can be a problem when the dog has to pee and the sweater could get into trouble because of it.
